SJS Consulting Worldwide is a global, online-marketing agency and consulting firm founded by Samuel Scott, a veteran Boston journalist and newspaper editor turned Internet marketer in Tel Aviv, Israel. The company’s operations suspended after Scott became Senior Director of Digital Marketing and Communications and SEO Team Leader for The Cline Group. In his capacity for TCG, Scott can provide initial consultations on Internet marketing and also refer businesses looking for expert assistance on public relations and other communications strategies to other executives at the firm.
About the Founder and President
Samuel Scott has worked in journalism, marketing, and communications — in both print and online contexts — for more than ten years in entrepreneurial, in-house, and agency contexts. For example, he worked for various start-ups in Boston, Massachusetts, and Tel Aviv, Israel, in search-engine optimization and marketing (SEO and SEM), social-media marketing, and related online practices. With a B.S. in journalism from Boston University, Scott was a freelance or staff reporter for publications including The Boston Globe, The Patriot Ledger, and The Boston Courant. In his last position in journalism, he was editor-in-chief and executive director of Spare Change News, a newspaper and non-profit organization in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Scott went into Internet marketing after studying in the Executive M.B.A. program at Suffolk University in Boston and the International M.B.A. program at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. He also has online-marketing certifications from Google, Hubspot, and Hootsuite. In Scott’s spare time, he publishes a journalism blog on his personal website, a website about SEO software at My SEO Software, and a fan website and global community at Buffy the Vampire Slayer Online. Scott spoke at SMX Milan in 2013 and SMX West in Silicon Valley in 2014. He is a contributor to Moz.
